Our mobile camps operate entirely off-grid and strive to be as sustainable as possible in every aspect of their operations. From sourcing sustainable produce and limiting single-use plastics to recycling, using solar energy, and eco-friendly washing products, we aim to tread lightly on the land and leave as little environmental impact as possible.

Our most popular mobile camp locations are the Masai Mara, Lolldaiga Conservancy, Amboseli National Park, Shaba National Park and Tsavo East National Park. However, because of the flexibility of our mobile camps, we have the freedom to explore a variety of wilderness areas across the country. Our mobile camp experience includes exclusive tented accommodation, all meals and drinks, a private guide and game drive vehicle, activities such as game drives and bush walks, plus all logistics within your safari itinerary.

Yes, the Mobile Camp is exclusively booked for private groups and only available to Africa Born clients.

Our camp mess tent is equipped with a solar-powered charging station. Additionally, all of our vehicles have charging sockets so you can charge devices during game drives. Please note that the power points are UK-style plugs, so we recommend bringing a US adapter. If you forget, we have spares available.

Absolutely. We cater to all dietary requirements and special requests; we just ask that you let us know in advance to ensure everything is planned and prepared.

Our mobile camps are modular and can accommodate groups of varying sizes, from small families and groups of friends to larger multigenerational groups. Tent configurations can include doubles, twins and triples to suit your group’s needs.

Yes, hot water is available for showers on request.

Each tent is equipped with en-suite facilities including a flushing toilet and hot, easy-to-use, bucket showers.

Our tents all contain insect-proof windows, and our team sprays them during evening turndown service to keep insects and mosquitos at bay. Bug spray will be available in camp, but it’s always good to pack a small personal supply.

Yes, we offer laundry services at the camp, and these are included in your stay. We aim to return your laundry within 12 hours, though this may be subject to weather conditions.

Yes, we can set up multiple camps in different locations as part of one safari - in fact, we highly recommend it! This allows you to experience a wider variety of wildlife, landscapes and activities while enjoying the privacy of your own luxury camp that’s exclusively set up for your group.

Yes, a private guide is always included, ensuring a seamless and personalised safari experience.

While the risk of malaria is low at our camps, we recommend wearing lightweight, long-sleeved clothing in the evenings to prevent mosquito bites. It’s also best to consult your doctor about anti-malarial medication as an added precaution.

Yes, Africa Born has its own safari vehicles. Typically, there are a maximum of five guests per vehicle to ensure comfort and space during game drives.
